What is the Squeeek No More Kit?
The Squeeek No More Kit is a DIY solution designed to permanently eliminate squeaks in floors and stairs. It includes all the necessary tools and materials to fix annoying squeaks easily except for a power drill or power screwdriver. The kit works by using a specially designed snapping screws to secure loose floorboards, eliminating the friction that causes squeaking
Will this damage my hardwood?
Nothing a little wood filler can’t fix! The marks left by our screws are quite small. Your local hardware store can help you match the right color of wood filler to your floor and it will be like it never happened!
How many screws will I need to fix my squeaky floors?
We recommend having 10-15 screws set aside for each squeaky area that you want to tackle. That way you should have plenty to get the job done.
Can this kit be used on stairs?
Yes! For hardwood flooring on stairs, the kit is used identically to hardwood floors. For carpeted stairs, oftentimes the squeak is coming from the contact point between the riser and the tread. Simply drive the screws down through the tread into the riser and the squeaks should be alleviated.
Will this damage my carpet?
No! The screws will not damage your carpet unless you have berber carpet. To use the kit with Berber Carpet, simply wrap a small piece of scotch tape around the screw threads to keep it from snagging onto the weave
